yep,

I am involved with a project that is going to start importing Chinese manufactured Ribs which were designed in this Country.

The RIBS are called watermark and the man behind the project is called Joe Mearns. PM or mail me if you would like his number

regards
Stuart

Greater than 90% of them are garbage. All-glued PVC, with poor grade material and poor grade PVC.

There's a handful of competent factories, but only because they are careful monitored by outside companies whom know what they're doing.

IMO, from personal experience, ISO certification is a load of poop.

Not a RIB but I have a roll up Chinese SIB that I purchased on ebay about 5 years ago.

It spends 2 weeks a year every year on the water being a tender ferrying passengers and gear so it doesn’t get used a lot but when it does it it is being used hard (max load, max horsepower) and used in the middle of Australian summer. The rest of the year it lives in my lounge room.

When you look at it, it is obviously not the quality of our Zodiac’s RIBs or our Ribtec RIB and if it was the tender to a boat I used a lot more, I probably would have purchased something else but it is still operating as it should, I haven’t needed to reglue anything and no leaks.

It does have ISO certification.
