Powerboat - Intermediate/Advanced Course

Hi,

I am after progressing my Power Boating skills.

At the moment I have my Level2 for about 2 years, and in the summer months (March to Sept) I provide safety cover on a inland lake for a water sports centre.

I am after boosting my costal skills, and would like to be able to charter a rib (Bare Boat) on the hamble are again and go on a night passage and around the Solent.

I am after some prices on the Powerboat - Intermediate/Advanced Course - and if anyone has any RIBnet discounts, I would like to do the training April time.

I would not mind travelling and if i could do the course and then hire a rib for a few days in the same week that would be good.

Regards

Steve Hall

Ok I will start off as I am sure you will get lots of response to this post .

Do you have a Coastal Endorsement on your level 2 if not need to do it.

Re Intermediate yup can do if you bring a mate you can do for £150 per person

Re Advanced can you navigate to the level of Day Skipper if not the would suggest doing a course as not enough time on the course to teach Navigation
can do the Advanced for same price .

Re April
can do it am booked solid first week have dates from 10th to 13th free at the moment.
Re Ribs for hire yup can arrange that as well minimum required is Advanced Powerboat .
If you need any more info drop me a line or call the mobile 07876 623124
Regards

Dose anyone know anyone who can help me with this...

I have now decided to do some more training in August/Sept, I have my level 2 (2003), and I am out in a RIB at weekends providing safety cover on an inland lake
As mentioned at the moment I only have my Level2 Inland and my VHF, I have done some basic costal training and some simple costal passages.

I can get a week off work in August/September and I would like to do my RYA First Aid, Costal Endorsement and my Intermediate power boating in this week if it is possible, and then do a bare boat charter of a rib for a 24-48hour period, enable some sight seeing.

Can you give me some priced and some dates, and let me know if you can provide this service.

I can sort you out as can a lot of other Recognised Training Centers.

If you get in touch with some dates that you can do the courses that would help. Re bareboat not many companies doing this , and those that do will charge £275 to £400 per day plus fuel .
I would have a chat with a couple of Schools and see if they operate 7 day's a week and year round, sound them out as to what is involved in the course. Ask if this is their full time occupation or something they do at weekends .

If you like the sound of them then book your course .

Go with Tim, he will sort you out for all your requirements you have listed. And a holiday in Cowes maybe.

Full time and a nice chap.

Bareboat - C £ 300 a day or you could find a cowboy.

Regards
Stuart

Great Advice

If you want more driving time, SCYC in Abersoch are allways looking for drivers and will somtimes let you use their ribs in return when not in use. Contact SCYC on 01758 712338 Andrew/Steph/Sammo/Rob.
