I'm glad you posted that, because I had absolutely no idea what Ezgoing was talking about!

There's more info about passenger boat licencing in Ireland here: http://www.dcmnr.gov.ie/Marine/Marin...egulations.htm

Rib ???

I dont care what my Irish rib drivers think...thats not a rib . It's a big bloody boat with inflatable pipes down the side . You may as well buy a used lifeboat and be inside it all the time.

Very nice boat!!

Nice to see plenty of room for maintenance on the engines;not!

It may be the pictures but it seems to run very low in the water

roller shutter

hi guys

Mrs Ezgoing has the answer. it is caller a tamber. She has one fitted n one of her kitchen cabinets. It is plastic coated aluminum. Available from good (expensive ) kitchen accessories suppliers.

Also used in office fitouts for cabinet enclosures.

Sometimes supplied in stainless steel by catering suppliers.

Scotty

I think you will find that the boat has been designed to sit low in the water. She is probaly the most stable craft you will find for her waterline length. Probaly costs 25% of simillar length lfeboat. Pobaly costs 25% of lifeboat in running costs. Definitely more fun than a lfe boat. Probaly not built by a beer company

Mark, she has a limited top speed of 28kts for the purpose of the P5 license. From the pictures I'd say she is also only doing about 20 kts so that explains why she sits so low. Redbay have built a few of these boats also with the tubes at different heights, so I guess the customer can decide on speed vs stability. Even at high speeds they are still very heavy and stable boats but they can be fun too!! The shear scale and beam of them is unreal and can't really be appreciated from a picture!!

Here's a pic of Molly James, her tubes sit higher, and she doesn't have a limited top speed, but essentially she is the same spec as "Mischief".

Warm Cabin

Absolutely missus,

another one of their features is the facility to have a variety of heaters installed. Very useful for keeping boat gear dry and damp free in winter.
