Hi S

Did you guys not participate in a rescue on saturday?...Thought i heard the Poole/Portland CG communicating with you on 16.

They were definately talking to a boat called , "sea safari" but not sure if it was you guys.

Was Steves Boat - me driving ...just a broken RIB in Studland in a unpleasant place swell by Old Harry . - just after the sinking dinghy next to chain ferry . After Poole ILB sorted a RIB in the morning, the Ski accident and 2 missing swimmers . The ILB was out again later that night too !!!

Not sure how they kept it topped up with petrol it was out so much ! I think 7 differing calls for the ILB from mid morning to very early on Sunday morning

Thanks Peter

Nice to receive a polite answer as opposed to just " Oi " ...

I could only hear Portland CG as the distance from Poole to me at the refinery was just too much for the ILB and your VHF set. Mind you i would of stood a better chance of making out your replies if there wasnt so many tw@'s calling up Solent CG with routine traffic calls all afternoon....especially frustrating when they were working multiple casualties.

Im sure they appreciated your efforts though...

Interesting updates that some of the boat users they stopped in an effort to reduce injury and even deaths- were abusive - seems that advice does not work then , so is a more rigid approach needed?

Yep.

The above is an example of why education over regulation will never work.
