Largs RIB opportunity

We have been approached "Do you have a ribs charter to be used by a coach at the youth championship in Largs, at the period of 19 to 25 of July"

We do not travel this distance but happy for anyone to take up the call for work
Joćo Andrade-Portugal-

e mail- j.and@sapo.pt

I have replied we cannot help but would post this for anyone to contact if a RIB is available.

The enquiry cam off my website as written on the above notes, so I guess it needs a call/e mail to them as I just replied it was outside my area.

I have had another request from my website from the same person asking the same again, did anyone get hold of the enquirer? Joćo Andrade e mail - j.and@sapo.pt
Telephone 0035 961262241
This was the question again " Do you have a rib with 5 our 5.5 meters to rent and be used by a coach in Youth Laser Championship in Largs, in the period of 18 to 25 of this months.
Tell me the price too."

If this is genuine there is a nice job for a Scottish based operator or someone offering to travel

Mine too, though it was more of a 'can we borrow your rib' and then wanted to make sure that I had it insured!! Needless to say I declined.

We have also received several similar enquiries about coach boat charters in Largs. When I contacted them back they were only prepared to pay £50/day including delivery, hardly the going rate for a coded RIB! Michael

Yes that was my perspective .. like .. 'you'll be doing us a favour... honest, '

My main business is hiring out plant & equipment on a self drive basis, and I didnt want some un known tom dick and harry taking my Rib out to sea.... one of the only bits of pleasure I have in my life , sticking some scratches on it and telling me afterwards .. 'it wasnt us gov ?' been there seen it done it

yeah right .. I declined also

These rib's are only available to the designated class coaches for the purpose of coaching ie the opi, topper, laser etc if they were a national class coach they should be aware of this and should be contacting I think the high performance manager RYA Scotland

Did you also get asked last year, the sailing club were running some event and they were looking for ribs to be driven by the kids who had done their level 2. I was reassured that although they weren't paying for the boat that they would replace the fuel and that the kids would be supervised from the shore!!!

isnt the Scottish National Sailing Centre over on Cumbre? It maybe worth anyone who are potentially renting their boat out speaking to someone there, see if they have heard of them and what the story is.
