Spookily enough Paul, Poole is the favoured loation I have emailed Andy telling him of the Initial interest so should hear something soon , Have also let the lifeguards clubs in your area know as will be of interest to them as well. I think it would be a excellent training day and fun as well alway,s fancied ago on one so should be safe enough with 10/20 safety crew around to save me

Latest up date on this project
I have contacted the British Kite Surfing Association Direct to see if they are interested in this type of seminar being run in association with Paul Glatzels School.
The RYA are happy for a course to be run but will not endorse any safety boat certificates as they are not expert in kite surfing and the British Kite Surfing Association already represents the sport.

How ever they are happy for a seminar to be run by the Kitesurfing association in rescue techniques this would be open to RYA Safety Boat Certificate Holders, RLSS UK Clubs and any independant lifeboat organisations .

If Paul Glatzel is happy to host the day then it could still happen there would be a cost to all participants to cover overheads I for one am still interested in attending this type of event as it is related to my Beach Lifeguard training for Inshore Rescue Boats and is a discussion topic in the Safety Boat Syllabus.

Tim

Very happy to host and would only feel the need to cover costs (which would be minimal early enough in the year) on this so charge need only be a minimum but also I suspect to get commitments & avoid numerous promises to attend & no attendees.

I'll buzz you later in the week to discuss

Paul

Thanks for that Paul
Maybe advertise it in the RYA Magazine and all the others to generate the numbers.
Can those who have expressed an interest let me know as Paul has kindly offered to host this event it would be a shame for it not to happen.
