Insurance For Commercial Operators

Just had a meeting with our insurers at Knighthood Corporate Assurance. Never bothered to meet them before, just paid the premium and got the cover we required. It was just another annual expense to hit the profit line! Found the meeting to be hugely helpful as they explained all the pitfalls that others had come unstuck with and for us to avoid. Big believer in forewarned is forarmed and these guys have a good overview (probably the only true overview) of the real incidents involving commercial boats in detail and therefore can advise on how the insurance companies view them/are likely to deal with claims. They were able to explain all the small print and we negotiated a few extra cover bits for no increase to the premium. Much happier now I know in detail what I am and am not covered for and found the meeting really useful. Just a thought if you speak to them they can often help....before you wrap it round the pier or have an engine fire etc etc

Windrider Rib Adventures

Thanks for the reply and the photos. Shame we weren't around or you could have come for a run Alex.
Next generation of WINDRIDER will appear in the South in the next few weeks. WINDRIDER (South) will open on 10 June 06 in Ramsgate. Very exciting times as we have received loads of support from local Council, Tourist Board, Harbour Authorities, Ecology Experts, TV and local media not to mention a current World Speed Ski Record holder who will be on our innaugral run. With huge marketing support from Jon Brooks at Icom, some amazing radar stuff from Garmin International, cracking crew clothing by Adelaide at the clothing room (crew clothing), technical advice from Rob Davies (www.funonthewater.com) and crew training from Doug Innes at StormForce, we are all just about ready to rock.
Anyone in Kent during the summer do come and look us up.

Send a message via MSN to Jon Brooks
I have very pleased to help John with is very exciting project.

The ethos of Windrider is such that the trips are based around education and ecology.
Allowing people to vist wildlife in its natural enviroment whilst not harming or effecting the ecology.

Working closely with people local it should prove to be a great venture.

There are more and more of these types of companies popping up all over the country.
I think its great that this kind of boating is becoming more popular and more available to all.
There is enough sea out there for us all to play in and work alongside each other in peace and harmony.

Best of luck to all who operate this kind of venture

Regards
