Gloves for commercial operator's

Quick question put into the comm ops due to being more applicable to this section rather than your recreational user as having being picked up an instructor's job at a MCA training centre I find myself spending more time in the boats than I used to.
Even on the Clyde during "summer" I feel I'm getting cold hands with the gloves I usually wear gill summer sailing gloves for dexterity reasons. Any recommendations either wet or dry for a good pair of gloves summer and winter ones to invest in dexterity has to be paramount though.

Cheers PP

Have a look at 3mm titanium lined neoprene diving gloves.
Northern divers will sell them,or look at wetsuit outlet, lomo watersports for canoeing gloves

Anything but these. Bought these Gill Extreme gloves which are next to bleed'n useless. The polyester lining shifts about inside with anything but dry hands, and the rubber palms sewn onto the neoprene make for a fairly ham-fisted glove.

I'm a rescue boat Coxswain, in summer I'm wearing Oakley Pilot gloves, they're leather palms and have worn in nicely after a few weeks of use, they've got knuckle protection which you might not like but I find it useful guarding against knocks.

As a diver and a Diving instructor I only every buy 1 make of gloves... Waterproof.
they do 3 and 5 mm and are super warm and easy to get on and off.

I also use them in the winter when coxing the ribs. hmmmm toasty.
