Commercial Examiner available?

A friend needs to get comercially qualified.
They have done the advanced course but now need to do the exam and have a lot of experience but are struggling to find an examiner in the few weeks.
Location preferred is solent.

They can do it on my rib if boat availabilty is a problem.

Anyone available?

Also quick question - do they need to have their VHF certificate to do the exam (they will be getting one, just not sure if they will be able to get it done at short notice)

Help much appreciated!

Hi, i'm sure that i'll be able to fit it in - can you PM me some contact details.

As an aside Commercial Exams can always be booked via the RYA and they will find an Examiner saving the student the trouble of doing so

Regards

Paul

Hi Ozz
How did you friend get his Advanced ticket without doing his VHF you are required to have a First Aid Certificate and a VHF operators cerificate before taking the Advanced. The school where he did this should have told him.
I would suggest he have a chat with Paul to ensure he is ready to take the exam .

Hi Tim,
Unfortunately he contacted a school in Plymouth (who shall remain nameless) who fed him a load of rubbish and totally wasted his time and many miles of travel. At the end of it all he now needs to do the VHF/1st aid and commercial endorsement all in a short space of time. (they let him do the advanced though)

I did suggest Paul as I used him for mine and would always recommend but I think there was mix up on communication and it all went wrong!

It was to cover me for a couple of days over cowes week but might have run out of time. Will call everyone on here later to see if anyone can fit it all in.

Because he was messed about and was told he could do the exam before the 1st aid/VHF he only has limited dates left.

Cheers

Ozz
