Commercial Endorsement - Certification/Manning Limits from Safe Haven

Just got this from RYA, following an earlier query:

"Can you confirm that a YM Coastal, can "only commercially endorse up to 20 miles from a safe haven", as mentioned in this article?

Thought this was 60Nm for Coastal & 150Nm for Offshore?"

"Yes, Yachtmaster Coastal is only up to 20 miles.

Yachtmaster Offshore without a qualified mate is up to 60 miles, while Yachtmaster Offshore with a qualified mate is up to 150 miles."

Just in case anyone is not sure.

YM Offshore is also restricted to 60nm if you have an ML5 medical; to go up to 150nm you need an ENG1.

Does Qualified mate mean an STCW registerd ships officer or is it a different ticket?
