thanks for the link, obviously missed it when browsing trough this forum...that avon definately looks the business! I've read it's twin CAT, but what is the way they deliver to the 'water'; sterndrive or jet?

have a look at the pivtures of this boat, it's proper commercial spec and see what feature it has that lemd itself to commercial work.

The buils build spec is first class and in the sameleague as Delta, Halmatic, Ocean Dynamics and MST. Have to say however if I was speccing for a company it would be difficult not to go to MS.

When you say coming alongside niger boats are you talking yachts or ships?
theres a big diference to how you spec the boat as the envoirenment forthe |RIBis a lot different .

Are you morelikely to ne doing vrew transfer, cargo or both

Will you ne going on to Wind farm pylons (again big difference to specor modify

I'm thinking there is a coupleof interesting boats in Poole at the mment one is an OD that lives on the river jus by Poole Bridge. It belongs to Johhny Tugboat and is usually moored alonside Goliath. Thats a very useful boat

Theres also a diver whi is running a PAc 28 with ayanmar going through a Castoldi.nice boat but underpowered

. I think that lives just down the river past Jenkins yard

Its a Single Cat 3126 and it runs a Hamilton 291 Jet through a cush drive (no Gearbox so it's quite restless when alongside under power

We have had in commercial use, Tornado, Humber and Northcraft, Found Tornado to be the most robust for what we do.

No that was 21k ago changed the V8 for a straight 6 400 kg lighter made a road tow pssible from a Heavy 4 x 4 rather tha a low loader
