Uim measurement help

Trying to understand UIM measurments, based on the sticky I measure my 7.5m scorpion under 7m. I do not understand the certificate bit though, does it mean somewhere there is an official record of my models official length?? If so how do I find

uim measurement

hi
I believe the certificate is issued by an approved person on behalf of the rya and as such will need measuring officially

MarkB is correct - you need a measurer (call the RYA office for phone numbers) to measure your boat, this will involve travelling expenses only. The length for a RIB is from the tip of the tube at the bow (I think that excludes the rubbing strip) the the bottom of the transom using a plumb line down tot he floor. The measurer should also give you advice on every aspect of making the boat race ready so that when you turn up for a race you know it will pass scrutineering! I have been racing for a while and if I can help let me know - cookee@bananasharkracing.com
