What can I say Manos? It has to be one of the most awesome looking boats I have seen in a long time!!! How about some specs - top speed etc etc.

Thakns cod

Some specs

The boat is designed and built by the Greek boat builder TOP LINE.
It has a stepped hull which to my supprise is very steady at any speed and during cornering. It comes to the plane quite quickly although the props currently ventilate a little and may be we need to put the motors one notch down. This will have to see when the boat is in Egypt and it will depend very much on the prevailing local weather.
LOA 9.6 meters
Beam 2.9 meters (inside beam 1.80 mtrs)
Fuel, 2x349 ltrs fuel tanks plus 2x100 ltrs reserve
Is powered by 2x200 Mercury Optimax currently with BRAVO I 26" pitch lab finished props that give a top speed at WOT of 61.4 knots. And cruises comfortably in force 5 between 55-58 knots without too much banging (relative to the speed). The props will change to acheive higher top speed.
The consumption is about 0.86ltr/mile per engine at 4500 revs and at WOT about 1.05 ltr/mile per engine.

That's about it. It will look better with the decals and the stickers from the sponsors. The deck will laso be airbrush painted. We wioll do some more tets with the new props. But I will not have time to post any photos as the boat will be leaving for Egypt. May be later on.

Thanks Mat

A small update, we changed the set up a little by moving the main fuel tanks a little forward and also setting the motors up one notch. I beleieve that the center of gravity came forward a little and now with 28" pitch 4 blade BRAVO props gives 65.8 knots at WOT.

We are waiting for a set of 28" lab finished bravo props in a few days (I beleive that there is a firm in the UK -Southampton- who does this) and we hope taht we can reach the 70 knots mark at WOT which will give us a good chance in the race.

That's all for now. Going for some more testing today and the sea is very rough where we will take the boat with significant wave hight between 2 and 3 mtrs according to the forecast. Will see what this baby can do.

The big revengers and Pascoes are doing 90mph+ with twin XS200's on in the flat, so a little way to go yet!

And we're doing 73mph+ with one XS200!

We'll be in a different class to the Greek boat - will you be competing or attending Manos?

@ Cookee ... No I'm too old for such a panishment. Doing the trials and set ups were enough for me. I will be drinking my cocktails and taking photos and videos on one of the other boats ... my connections in the region you see

@ Mat ... Now mentioned it ... I think you're right. But I think that is a little faster than the Technohull
