Suitable rib for CTC, round britain 2012

Hi All,
Hoping to race in Cowes Torquay Cowes 2010, and do round britain in 2012.
Be very grateful for advice on suitable hulls/manufacturers and inboard/outboard.
Happy to look at brand new or used, Budget c. £125,000 all in.
Don't need to win, just want to take part and complete all legs safely and comfortably !

Rebay http://www.redbayboats.com/ have a Stormforce 10 with twin diesel stern drives for £90000. That'd be a comfy boat and you'd have a few pennies left for diesel.

For the CTC race I would go for a Revenger 29 with 2x 300xs outboards. It would be ok on the Round Britain as well but I would prefer something bigger and heavier for that.

Maybe a nice RING with 3x Verado 350s like Petrov just showed us.

http://rib.net/forum/showthread.php?t=30383 Good for 69kts and should handle most weathers.

the 1st will be in your budget - not too sure about the 2nd...........

This one could be your choice, twin diesel would be a better option

Thank you for the mention guys - we don't have a RIB for the job, but we are in the middle of designing a hard boat that would come in around that money (we can put tubes on it if you really want them), 3/4 canopy or open top - 34' twin diesels with either Arnesons or regular drives, small cabin with the option of a V berth and lightweight heads and galley. Projected speeds of over 70mph with the 3 litre Yanmars and ASD6 Arnesons

OK, so you're not out to win, but are you looking to be at all competitive?

The best boat for the job will depend on whether you're really planning to treat it as a fast cruise, or if you actually plan to race with some commitment but are just playing it down a bit.

No fast cruise is cool, not trying to play with the serious racers.
