Mike Lloyd has confirmed that there are still a few places for anyone who wants to make a late entry.

The recent rule change has reduced the minimum boat length for RIBs, making it a bit more accessible.

All the details are on the RB8 web site www.roundbritainrace.co.uk

Looks like you're going to have a busy few weeks. Is getting the boat to the right place at the right time going to be a problem?

You asked for advice .............. I would take off the A frame, radar etc, move the throttle so that it can be operated from the left seat, (try throttling and holding on all day with one hand and then imagine you have to do it for 9 more days!), and get some lateral support for those seats, it will take a large amount of energy to stay in the boat when it's going downwind and trying to throw you out every time the bow bites! Double nut and bolt the engine brackets and reinforce the seat and console mountings.

That's all I can see for now!
