Round Britain Entrant

I met up with Richard yesterday who is entering rather an interesting RIB. It was designed and fabricated in Australia and then shipped to the UK for building.

Have a look here ==> http://www.roundbritainrace.co.uk/20...hardgilpin.htm

At 13m with 4 * 300hp o/b's it will be an imposing site.

Not sure whether he hangs out on this site, but if he does "good luck mate". Unfortunately I left before I managed to get his Email address so if anyone knows him I'd sure appreciate it.

Cheers

Mark

I've just pulled out in my boat but may have a ride in something very exciting if all goes to plan.

They had an article on this boat in Rib International earlier this year. Apparently the OBs will be Suzukis

Looks like he's dropped out.

I know he had some deal with Suzuki on engines, maybe that's fallen through.

The boat looked like it would take most seas and I would have liked to see his fuel bill!

Cheers

Ah well mever mind - are you still going around? I am writing the racing page for Sports Boat and RIB, so if you or anyone else wants some free publicity then let me know!
