Just to wrap up the 2011 season from the RMYC we would like to thank all the competitors, safety boats and officials for making the Annie Beakhust Memorial race a great success. Last night we held our helpers reception at the club, we presented our safety boats with an engraved glass to commemorate the event, £2,000 of donations have already been sent direct to Cancer Research, last night we were able to present the local MacMillan Cancer Support with cheques for a total of £6,202.67. On behalf of the Motorboat committee at the club can I forward our thanks to you all, as some of you may be aware Rob Beakhust is not well at this time, but it was Robís wish that most of the money from this event should go to MacMillan who helped Annie in the last few weeks of her life.
Once again thank you all for your support and generosity we look forward to seeing you all in 2012.
