Rib Racing Returns to Lymington in September

Afternoon folks.

Just to let you know

RIB racing returns to Lymington in September this year. A Basic RIB race is being organised along the lines of the very successful RIB races held there in '98,'99 and 2000, the classes are very straightforward from 150hp upwards. You can race, do safety or just watch, and there's a party afterwards! Take a look at this link..

I saw a poster about this in Cowes the other day and took a photo of it - looks interesting. The poster reads "if you have a reasonably fast RIB". What do you guys consider to be "reasonably" fast - me and a friend are really interested in entering just for a laugh (we have no hope in hell of being competitive) but at the same time don't want to be laughed at!

What do you call reasonable fast? It's not obvious from your profile what you would race, hull and motor? They race the cabin Scorpions with twin diesels, so if you could keep up with one of those you would be fine!

Rib race training

Just to let you guys know we are looking to run a basic one day rib racing training course in early september for anyone who is interested.
It will be a group session (or one to one if you want) and will cover the theory of racing, driving techniques , saftey , trim and sea states
Costs dependent on numbers attending and boats used, discounts will apply if you book with your own craft
New and experienced racers are very welcome
