Well 9 days on and they will be back with us.
We will be out to welcome them home.
What time is estimated and where is the finish line?

After finishing what is planned (other than sleep!) for the competitors?

Paul - from the NTM... assuming nothing has changed:

Race Leg 8, Lowestoft to Portsmouth Monday 30th June 2008 The final leg of the Race is from Lowestoft to Portsmouth on Monday 30th June and the first competitors are expected to enter the Solent from the east from approximately 1300 onwards. They will leave Horse Sand Fort close to starboard and proceed north to the finish line, due south of Southsea Castle. For competitors finishing after 2100, the finish line will be on passing south of Horse Sand Fort and they will then enter Portsmouth via the buoyed channel.

If you really want to see the first competitors make it then you might even need to be earlier than that. Most of the legs so far have started at 10am-ish. Wettpunkt are typically doing over 70 knots if conditions allow - and the last leg is 190 nm ish. So I would expect they may finish before 1pm

Theres a dinner and awards do this eve on Old Portsmouth. Entry by ticket only apparently.
