We didn't force them! In fact you opted to do that in RB08 so why the winge?

I wanted paying for my time because I am an OAP with - now - limited funds. When did you last work for nothing?

No problem: check out Companies House MPA Powerboat Events Ltd, it's all there for anyone to see. You see that's what the law says, if you are a Limited company you have to produce accounts that have been properly audited, or don't you do that!!! Oh, and again, it wasn't only the lack of finance, it was also the lack of entries which caused RB11, RB12 and CMC to collapse. It's pretty obvious to all now that there are just a handfull of racers - certainly no more - who want to or even can afford to take part in such races so basically that's it for those events.

Any more Bile Barry, bring it on? We have already been all over this like a rash on Boatmad but never mind.

I did check companies house and it didn't tell me anything

So does the local football, Cricket team etc. pay there coaches and helpers to keep the clubs going?

Thanks for confirming you wanted paying I know many OAPS who do voluntary work sadly for them it doesn't involve flying around europe.

You have also answered your own question there arn't many offshore boats that will race these days so why did you launch RB11 after the RB12 team launched there race. Was it because you thought they stole your baby.
Be honest you knew that would scupper there race.

I will agree with you about the initial deposit that was non returnable my question is did many loose the stage payments.

If you run it as a business then there is no problem with making profit but at the same time you take the lose when it goes wrong in my book.

Regarding my accounts I think you will upset my accountant with your comments who are Myers Clark of Watford please feel free to check them out (Free advert for them)

Regarding RB8 once the stage payments were being made I never thought the race was not going ahead if I had then we probably would not of paid.
Remember the race was a success because of the good team you put together and the great racers that entered and the fact that once they were committed they all agreed to pay twice the initial entry fee.

Over to you....

The 'Venture Cup' may be down, but 'Venture 2014' will see four crews leave London this Saturday morning from St Katharine Docks to undertake the adventure of a lifetime as they aim to conquer over 2,500 miles of tough seas, with the ultimate goal being an arrival into Monaco on Sunday 22nd June.

The teams are currently assembling at St Katharine Docks in the heart of London, and will be on display to the public over the coming days. They are:
1. Cube52 (formerly 'Boss One'
2. Tally-Ho
3. Grey Ghost
4. Hot Lemon

The teams themselves will be on site with the boats, so if you're around London please drop down and say hello.

The fleet can be tracked live right across the two weeks at the following address:
Index - Venture Offshore Cup Tracking

The latest news from the teams during the race will be placed here:
An alternative home for adventure on the water.

The following is public information and I presume this is the company that Mike is referring to in the above post as he appears to have resigned 17/12/2012.
MPA Powerboats Events Ltd company reg 07440981
Changed its name to Monza British Powercraft Ltd 09/08/2013
The only set of accounts ever submitted by the company was 12/10/2012
It appears that the current directors have failed to submit accounts (audited or otherwise) as they are now well overdue 31/08/2013 as is the Annual Report 14/12/2013
There is also a proposal to strike off the company.

For general information regarding striking off a company read this https://www.gov.uk/strike-off-your-c...ister/overview

So was I right about 50 post back, I've kept a little quite since getting private messages asking me to retract my statement of possible fraud, crap situation in total and a bad outlook for every racer in Britain.
I've got another thought of no confidence bouncing around in my head

There's a tracker for the Venture rally type thing Venture tracker and it seems that the weather hasn't been kind today - 3 of the 4 boats are now in Ramsgate harbour presumably looking for a mooring and Gordon in My Pleasure was pictured in St Kats - does anyone know if he's joined in? Maybe he just doesn't have a tracker?
