World speed record holding Lynsay Crellin gave up her usual co piloting position and took to the tiller, piloting the Selftrade sponsored Ratcat to a fifth place finish at Stokes Bay Thundercat race in Gosport. Co piloting for Lynsay was Nicola Fearnley, a British champion boxer and experienced rally co driver. The all girl pairing was made in Portugal where they together raced the Microlink PC thundercat at the P1 Powerboat World Championship event. The girls have since been training under the watchful eye of Vee Ganjavian, of Voomvoom.com. This weekends racing saw them awarded with a rookie team award, as a first ever all girl team for the rough and tough sport of Thundercat racing. The girls sponsors,
www.ratcat.co.uk are delighted with their results and are now backing them in the next Thundercat championship event at Weymouth on the 3rd and 4th of November. Come along and show the Team Selftrade girls some support.
