First Belgian Offshore Challenge

Hi guys,

Here are some pics of the first Belgian Offshore Challenge, held in october 2005: http://fotobank.navis.be and look under '2005 - events'.

We had visitors form Engeland on Saturday though I don't know who they were. I remember them in a huge yellow rib with inboards.
Perhaps they're on this forum.

What had happened in picture no. 54 or was it just a practise?

I know the English visitors you refer to, they don't use this forum but they were very impressed by the event and intend to be over in Belgium again next year.

There is a calendar for next year on this site, and there are plans to do 2 events in France and one in Belgium in 2006.

Thanks. The picture you're referring to is a demo by the famous Belgian rescue team: BMCT Eagles (http://www.powerboat-rescue.com/). There were no accidents during the race

Thx for you pics. I wasn't racing but as a reporter I watched and photographed it. This year there will be a European Offshore challenge. I you want, I can post the dates.

I received a mailing from BMC with all the dates. you can put them on-line. you never know someone from here would like to participate.

But I won’t participate this year.
