what social status?

I have not brought social status into this and please dont get the impression that this is only for the preserve of the aristocracy.

I'm actually a working class man myself and a life long member of the labour party and work bloody hard and you will find people from all backgrounds and cultures taking part in the event. Admittedly I might have the odd Field Marshal or High Court Judge tucked away a few generations back but I never met them and they have no relevance to how I live or work today. How prejudiced you are to assume it.

I hate privelege myself so please dont start jumping to conclusions about this event. Dont knock it until you've tried it!

Jono

Your experience is obviously limited.

Firstly and at the risk of repeating myself, I am not knocking this event at all.... it is you and your attitude that, quite frankly, stink. I admit that my "conclusion" about you may be flawed and I have already admitted to a prejudice. All of which might cloud my judgement and if you really are as you describe above, then I apologise… however…… I am finding it increasingly difficult to believe you. If we have a frank question and answer session I’m sure we can clear thing up. I’m game if you are?
I’ll start the ball rolling…

Could you confirm that you are indeed, as you claim a Solicitor and if so which firm you work for? If you wish to give the name of the firm by PM, I’ll understand obviously. Unfortunately, when I checked with the roll at the Law Society they couldn’t find you. I’m sure it’s a mistake that you’ll be able to correct.

Can you confirm the “proceedings” that you have initiated against Eupa? He has yet to hear from you.

Would you be so good as to explain why you find the abuse of a “mildly retarded girl” to be a source of amusement?

Have you made any effort to repay the losses made by the member of this forum who lost money as a result of your illegal activities?

Right, I think that’s enough from me… please feel free to ask me questions too.

TimW ... You’d be amazed at the level of my experience…

deauville rally

I am here to talk about ribs and the deauville rally and not about my work or politics or my creed or culture.

Everything else is strictly none of your business and I do not wish it discussed on this thread which is titled Deauville Rally.

The only question which has any relevance to this is Eupa who has since admitted that he does not intend to disrupt things so I do not see any reason to pursue this.

On a more positive note has anyone got any news on how the entries are brewing up. I just had confirmation that another Honda race boat has entered today.

Mr Balme keep up the good work!

..and from that, Ladies and Gentlemen of the Jury, draw your own conclusions as to the honesty, integrity and character of Spectre racing...

I'm sorry.... I couldn't resist a little "legal" humour....

Draw whatever conclusions you like Jono.

I'm on this thread to promote the rally and that only.

Why dont you start another thread yourself to debate other issues.

Ah.... I see we've gone from occupation "Solicitor" to occupation "HSE", which is equally unbelievable, so from that I conclude you are a liar or a fool or, most probably, both. The best way you could ever support the Rally would be to leave well alone and hope that your association with this event is forgotten. Ed sure doesn't need your "support" on here.

News to me fellah- all I said is that I do not think it is correct to attack Mr. Kennet's site. My other burst of enthusiasm was that I dont think you own the sea around Deauville ( or any other part for that matter) - and anybody is entitled to come broadside to your race , because I have yet to see any published (I stand to be corrected)-' warnings to mariners'- that this "race" is taking place??. Personally I would not like to get in the way of a bunch of ****** off***** stuck** hooligans.

I would also like to advise you of the channel passage regulations - all crossings of the traffic flow must be at right angles to the stream and YOU
give way.

Sincerely

Jonathan

Jono, you're coming across as a red faced, spluttering little man full of indignation. If you're not that, and I'm sure you're not, unfortunately your writings on this thread do point in that direction.

It may be possible that you have some preconceived idea that you would not be welcome by the people organising and entering this rally and as a result have been pouring bile on the organisers.

The fact is and it's been made very clear to you, that everybody would be welcome.

As you have obviously never had any intention of taking part in this event I can't understand why you have got yourself so wound up and involved!

Now come on, cheer up and wish them luck for a great event
