Anglesey circumnavigation record? A RIBnet member?

I was reading the below article and surely someone on here with a decent boat can put a new time in for this! Beautiful place to drive round, i'm attempting it in the next couple of weeks.....though i certainly can't break the record.

Would be great publicity for the forum.

The article below shows the boat that did it only had a 250hp 4 stroke on 7.6m rib.

One of you guys who have spent some well earned money on a quality rib must think you can take the trophy? Put the boat to good use!

Been waiting for something like this to crop up, I think I'd like to have a go at this one 'boyo'. What do I have to do to give it a go?

Would be even better to organise a couple or a few boats trying it at once. I'd certainly like to see it!!

welcome to the forum IDRIS, notice that is your first post and you have just joined. What spec is your boat you are thinking of using? Photos would be good to see.

IIRC, the record is held by Ian Greenwood & Dave. GED had a support role I think? It was done in Ian's boat, Blackjack. Ian is also a member here - not sure if he still reads the forum though.

Thought it would be a member holding the record. Still......has no one challenged it since Feb 2007? Surely it ought to be!

AFAIK Ian and Dave are Inglish. Well, Ian is anyway.....
