Engine: 2005 Mercury optimax 115hp Saltwater with Smartcraft. Professionally fitted by Samspeed Marine, serviced April 2010 @ 52 hours, currently showing less than 100 hours use. New Mercury controls. Under central jockey seat; built in metal fuel tank and battery in plastic case

Electronics: Smartcraft electronics connected to Northstar chartplotter / log / depth sensor with mapping card. ICOM M-421 DSC VHF, Compass, electric Bilge Pump (new 2011), Navigation lights (new wiring and steaming light 2011)

Boat Interior: Central jockey seat unit for 3 persons, (driver seat with back rest and 2 person behind driver with single back rest.) plus 2 x single jockey seats to rear (side by side), all in grey vinyl with black piping trim. aluminium covered front floor locker for anchor and warp, with securing eye cover. All cabling via under floor trunking. Sump area with electric bilge Pump (replaced 2011). Hull floor painted in grey non slip paint.

Exterior: Radar Arch with 2 sets of tow eyes, navigation lights, VHF antenna. Orange Hull, with Grey tubes, heavy duty rubbing strakes, 4 x handle/cleats, mid and bow section tube heavy duty protection, rubber bow fair lead. Rear stainless steel boarding ladder (new 2011)

Trailer: Braked single axle roller coaster serviced with new brakes/cables 2011, new tow hitch section 2009. New winch strap (2011), 2 speed winch. All rollers working and in good condition.

Extras: 2 x inflatable tow toys (doughnuts, one round, one triangle), Anchor and warp, Mooring lines, Safety man overboard kit in bag mounted on radar arch, Boat hook, on trailer boat cover, Outboard engine full cover, ensign.

Merlin is a great rib ready to go for 2011 summer. Ribtec are well known for their strong, forgiving and safe hull design, being used by many organisations for rescue. The 585 is a great size, handled easily on shore by hand, easily towed by car and amazing performance over waves; we found her to be exceptionally smooth and dry in all conditions. As experienced sailors and motor boaters we bought this boat to keep but now sadly it must be sold as we want to move into dinghy sailing and cannot afford to keep both sailing dinghy and rib. This boat has had everything done to it and has all kit ready for serious boating or just family fun.

Please note in the photos the tubes are deflated as we store it in a south facing garden on concrete which gets very hot so we let air out to avoid over heating the tubes, the tubes do have one patch, but it is completely secure and the tubes hold air no problem. The hull has some minor chips on the keel where she has come onto the trailer (all repaired with gel coat) and one cosmetically poor repair to a score in the gelcoat, which can be seen in the photo on the bow.
