Mint Avon Searider SR4 £3995

Hi, I can't believe I'm selling this but here goes...

Avon Searider SR4 Deluxe (4m) Rib built in 1990 and then restored in 2010/2011.

Since completing this project I have bought a SR4.7 so I have only used this SR4 three times!

Year 2000 Yamaha 40hp with power tilt and trim and very low hours, bought from BHG Marine and it was the best I could find, it has 703 remotes and tach and trim gauges. 24L fuel tank under the console. The outboard came with 3 months warranty but that has run out now. I still have the receipt from BHG.

New items fitted include:

Teleflex steering helm
Steering cable
Steering wheel
Custom made stainless steel control bracket
Yamaha outboard lock
Marine Battery
Yamaha power cable and battery connectors
Battery box
Icom M411 VHF (I have not yet entered a MMSI number)
Garmin GPS wired into the VHF to allow the DSC to work
Seat cover
Offshore 75 Compass

Indespension roller trailer in excellent condition which tows very well. It is also easy to launch and recover with one person.

The package fits in a single garage but also comes with a new all over boat cover.

Once I finally found the hull it took 6 months to find the parts and another 6 months to build it. I spent thousands on this rib as I was never going to sell it however it is just not being used as I now use my SR4.7

I clocked it using the GPS doing 33 knots (still not a WOT) so don’t really know how fast it is but I would think it would go mid thirties if you have the minerals?


The price is £3995 collection from Swindon in Wiltshire.

Hi, I may remove the VHF, aerial, GPS and change the steering wheel back to the original SR one this weekend so that I can drop the price. So please PM me if you are interested otherwise I will put it on ebay.

I have now removed the VHF, and GPS and also fitted the original SR4 steering wheel. I have also dropped the price to £3250
