Welcome to the RIBnet self-service advertising system!
There is no charge to place an advert, but you do need to be a
registered forum member. If you haven't registered yet, click on the "Register" button at the top of the page and fill in the details. This is free and only takes a couple of minutes. When you have submitted your information you will automatically be sent an email containing a link to click on to confirm your registration. You cannot post a message until you have done this.
Trade advertisers are welcome, but adverts must be for specific RIBs that are genuinely available (not generic ads for new boats). Brokers may also use this service, although adverts should not be duplicated if the boat is already on the RIBnet list.
If you want to advertise more than two RIBs in any 12 month period you will need to sign up as a Trade Member.
Creating your advert
Once you are registered, posting your ad is very simple. Click on the
New thread button and you will see a form to fill in with various sections:
Subject
Fill this in with Make Length - Engine - Price
For example:
Ribtec 7.4m - 240hp Yamaha diesel - £25,000
Avon 6m - 140hp Suzuki - £11,000
Keeping the subjects consistent makes it easier for potential buyers, and better for you. We already know it's a RIB and it's for sale.
Message
Your actual advert goes here. Put as much description as you like, not forgetting the location of the boat and your contact details.
If you want your boat to sell, make it easy for people to contact you -- a phone number and email address is best. If you rely on the forum Private Message system then make sure you check back regularly! Remember that Private Messages an only be used by registered members.

This is how you include a photo with your ad. Click on "Browse" and select the picture that you want to upload. For more information about uploading pictures
have a look here. If you don't have a photo, you can add one later.
Finally click on "Submit new thread" and your advert should appear on the forum. To update your advert add a reply to the original message.
If you have not posted on RIBnet before your advert may not appear immediately as some messages are reviewed manually before being accepted.
Please tell us when the boat is sold or withdrawn from sale -- just post a reply to your original message and I'll delete the thread.
Notes for buyers:
The Ribs for sale section is not a discussion forum, and only the advertiser can post post replies. Please contact them directly.
