Anyway, I'd like a 911 please. If that motor is in bad taste, where does that put the entire production of Ford and General Motors? (including all their half breed offspring)

Yes indeed - it is a bizarre quirk of human nature that despite being able to discern vulgarity in others we seem immune to seeing it in ourselves...

Mmm, interesting concept that driving a german sports car is a tawdry public display of outrageous bad taste; each to their own I suppose. I'd prefer to call it having a keen interest in cars and owning the one that meets my needs, just like the selection and ownership of a given brand of RIB. I just find it interesting how quick people are to judge others and I guess you've confirmed how prevalent this is yet again.

Having sufficient memory to remember that you began the debate might help...

I didnt start a debate at all nate, as you will see from my two posts. I just asked if you were tolerant, having seen a pretty intolerant post (imho) that you had made with regard to christmas lights.

Sorry - don't know what came over me. I am guilty of inappropriate humour and intolerant outbursts. Thank you both for showing me the error in my understanding.

I'm going to redeem myself by buying a porsche (I really need this car for its mix of practicality and space), getting blinged up, moving to a council house and festooning it with really lovely flashing lights celebrating f*ck knows what but it's Christmas innit, and finding a girl from essex and getting her to go blonde and commando.

Do I also need a bull terrier called Tyson?
