which waterproof digital compact camera ??

Hi ,
Search function did not answer my question and the electronic market develop that fast that a good recommendation from last year might be already not "up to date" nowadays ..
So - which digital cameras do you use on the RIB ??
The camera should be good to make pictures in motion and needs to be robust , small & waterproof .
Any advice ??

I have a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FT3 which I'm very happy with.

Second the Lumix DMC-FTxxx - fantastic cameras - had one which I lost and replaced it with a Pentax waterproof - worst decision I ever made!

Its not waterproof but I bought a Nikon J1 with two lenses and its great

As for something to keep in your pocket how about an iphone 4 or something like that in a waterproof case?

Just a thought so don't kick me in the spuds

Panasonice Lumix. Had an early Olympus, but dissapointed with it. Huge 'shutter' lag and poor screen. Good to 10m depth though.

I use a cheap Praktica Aquapix with a waterproof case at work, and while it's not David Bailey quality, it does the job well enough. For £40ish including the case, you don't have to be too careful with it either.

Hi ,
Yes - got the LCD display - but I use it mostly to adjust the camera when I attach it to the RAM mount on the A frame or the grab rail .
Once it is mounted it is difficult to make a quick shot of something - that is why I was looking for a easy to use digital camera which can cope with the rough conditions on a RIB .
Just ordered a Olympus TG-1 and will test it New Year at the mediterranean sea .
Hope I will not be disappointed
