Fiddle around with the boat, ratio of fiddling to driving the blooming thing is probably 10:1

Everyone is different I guess.. but I found that expensive toys meant little to me ?
I much prefer living a stress free life.. doing what I love doing ..which is exploring the countryside and living close to nature. It doesn’t cost me much to clamber around the hills ..discovering new places that I never knew about .. then researching the history of such places.
When on my safaris, I keep costs low by living out the car .. my wants are minimum .. and I waste very little.
Although I am not quite 60 years of age .. I chose to give up the rat race .. and I have never felt so fit and healthy.. and perfectly happy too. I can clamber the cliffs as fast as people half my age.
Normally I explore with my SIB during the summer months..
And supplement my diet with fish I catch ..
While staying in a tent .. sometimes I even enjoy the company of others too
But with such a poor summer this year..I have kept to the hills rather than the coast .. and it is nice to see them with some green for a change.
Sometimes I will supplement my savings by painting what I see and then sell the picture to people who enjoy such materialistic things. I have had a pound once or twice for one or two of my photographs too.
And I guess ..sometimes ... like everyone else .. I get a little bored. Some may say ... Im wasting my life away ..and perhaps I am ?
I do know all is not perfect in my world .. in fact, I recently had a fall into a deep gully... and have spent the last week in the house nursing a damaged knee. But next week..I will be off again..and who knows..if the weather improves.. I may go by SIB this time...
But ... until then.. I wonder what I can do ?
Hey..I know.. I can post some of my drivel on Ribnet
Wish I had a hobby or two

Work, Farm, house work, keep the childern alive and sleep. Sometimes I also go free diving
The most money hungeryof them all is the childern. They are akin to a large sunseeker I believe

Lately, I've gotten back into throwing money at paper from varying distances.
If the images end up in the same order as I attached them, descriptions follow (if not, you'll have to guess):
25 yds, approx 50 rds of .22, pistol, offhand, mix of slow and timed fire.
25 yds, approx 40 rds of 32 S&W Long, offhand, mix of slow and timed fire
Bunch of .308, benched, 100 yds (white square is 1"), 3 shot groups
jky

when your not on a boat what do you do?
Go out in this....
To catch this....
Anything I do in my spare time is usually in a boat, trout fishing, sea fishing or just hooning about on a rib.

The thing is Steve, if I'm not working, I'm either in a boat or doing something to a boat. I walk the hills for a job so any chance i get im out on the water.
That fish (well, shark actually) is a Spurdog, a proper one too at about 15lbs, it had been tagged

Now that is a decent sized spurry A1an
I have caught many of its offspring but none in the double figures
You are a braver man than me too..im a whimp when it comes to handling them and wear gloves.. the spines at the fins are poisonous
They all go back to swim another day too..
However..if it was a real salmon and not a rock salmon... well

I've handled them often enough, I've got it down to a fine art. That particular day we had nearly 30 and maybe half a dozen were in single figures, mostly doubles.
Went back to the same mark a week later and caught 2. Heading there Friday/Saturday as the weather looks good.
