You need to block the bidder as well http://pages.ebay.com/help/sell/mana..._ov.html#block

The only time I have had any problem selling on Ebay has been with phones - they seem to be a magnet for idiots and scammers.

Have you tried Gumtree or the classifieds section on a relevant forum? If you do stick with Ebay then make it clear that you are open to offers and try to complete the sale before the auction ends. Its sometime the only way to avoid a non-paying winner and all the aggro that goes with it.

You can cancel and block a person if caught in time as I did this earlier in the year. The person that won, bid in the last 10 seconds of the Auction so there was nothing I could do. I have however opened a Cancel sale case against the person concerned. I stated that there was a breach in the terms and conditions as outlined in my ad.

Once I had opened the Cancel sale Case, I offered the next lowest bidder a "second chance offer" that they accepted earlier today. I can't believe what people will pay for something that is broken though.

It's not only phones that are targeted by scammers and Idiots. Obviously all electrical gadgets are targeted John.

Well no I didn't Jeff. But everytime I forget to put a footnote on my Auctions I seem to attract all the wrong people. It's people like these scammers and Idiots that is spoiling it for everyone.

I started off buying from Ebay shops first anyway.
