Welshman to end the World?

Well we will see - I am a little dubious myself but when I found out the chief scientist who will switch on the LHC at Cern was from Aberdare and went to Swansea University I started to have some doubts...............

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencete...Wednesday.html

Then again the Yanks seem to think Aberdare is in England!!!

From Fox News:

“For centuries, scientists have sought unsuccessfully to unlock the secrets of the Big Bang Theory — a model explaining the birth of the universe. But 63-year-old Dr. Lyn Evans of Aberdare, England, popularly known as “Evans the Atom,” claims to know the answers, and will test his experiment on Wednesday by using a 17-mile-long doughnut-shaped tunnel that will smash sub-atomic particles together at the speed of light, the Mail reported.”

As far as I could figure out if they were successful building a black hole it might blow a hole in Europe centred somewhere around Switzerland which didn't seem too much of a loss. I did wonder if they could move the experiment to Buenos Aires though.
