Weather.

It looks now that the rest August is a write-off, so that's the whole summer bar one weekend.
It's not funny anymore.

Agreed - even by our usual wet standards this is taking the proverbial.

We had 2 stunning days but it has rained without stop for the rest of the time - and not just light rain - torrential downpours. The rivers look like they normally do in December!!!

Sunny today though.........

It was the same last year - May was stupidly hot - I joked "That was our summer" and it proved to be spot on!!!

Stop moaning. You live on an island with a maritime climate and that's why you get rained on. Get over it or bugger off.

The rainfall was DOUBLE what it should have been - the wettest since records began in 1766 - this is NOT normal..............

From one of our weather stations at work, the figures look like this (mm)....

YR MONTH TOTAL
----------------
08 1 13.2
08 2 12.2
08 3 56.4
08 4 55.9
08 5 34.5
08 6 44.7
08 7 70.4
08 8 17.5

Roll on autumn

You don't need a surf board for surfing, just come down to St Anns with your rib when there's a sensible wind from the south west - plenty of surfing opportunities and you don't even have to get wet if you get it right

WTF would you know about 'maritime climate'?! Existing in Central Shitesville.

I suppose this weather is good for you, any sun would f**k the glue on your 'Japs-eye' and the dissolve the PVC.
