Vulcan farewell (again) tour

After a long restoration and a good few years in the skys again, the last operational Vulcan is beginning its farewell tour. Today and tomorrow she is performing a fly-pass of all UK Vulcan airframes and we were lucky enough to be at Carlisle airport to see it. The usually sleepy little aviation museum was crammed with far more spectators than I think they expected for a truly incredible fly-pass. You don't just see and hear her, she shakes you to the core.........

I'm always impressed by the Vulcans - more so than the other V-bombers.

My old man attended a wedding a couple of years back and found himself seated beside a Victor pilot from Operation Black Buck - hair raising seat of the pants stories or what!?!
