According to this VIRGIN ATLANTIC CHALLENGER 2 Used Boat for Sale | TheYachtMarket she's still available for sale. That's a lot of boat for under £250k too!

I was speaking with the Irish guy who is getting her back on the water again over the weekend,as soon as she is recommisioned and seatrialed she will be winging her way back o the south coast of Uk to be refitted internally as a private boat,watch this space....and the upcoming article in boat trader magazine....

I remember that going past when I was fishing off Beachy Head as a youngster. It was en-route to London for Mrs T to travel up the Thames on it. I remember it because of the noise that preceded it - only surpassed by a Lancaster at about 50' a few years later*.

The project manager on that - Steve Ridgway - became head honcho at Virgin Atlantic.



* I did go home inbetween times.
