Van recovery - Belgium to UK

May have to get a LWB Renault Master recovered (i.e. vehicle's immobile) from Belgium to the UK.

Any suggestions? I don't want to have to go across with a car transporter, on the back of the 110, so any suggestions / good reviews are welcome!

Thanks in advance

That's an awkward one if you can get it to the port they may tow it onto the ferry for you

You're right Mick, it is. Right pita. Unfortunately not treerat - not my actual wagon. Engine's blown apparently. Quoted 7800 euros to replace engine in Belgium. The garage I use here will do it for £3200. lol

We managed to tow onto the tunnel once a rangie towing a discovery just with a rope.

Didn't mention it at check in, just pulled up, did our bit with tickets and passports and then pulled forward 10ft so my mate could do the same...

Bit of charm needed here and there but got away with it.

Like your style. I remember having to charm the Bosnian and Croatian border guards many years ago. Demilitarised zone my arse, but that's another story!

So far the quotes are averaging around £550. Not bad in my opinion.

Can't you get the owners to take out a years subscription with a breakdown company that covers Europe, wait a few days and get them to recover it to the UK. If it worked you'd get it repatriated for a lot less than what you've been quoted.
