Trying to support a local business.

This is what happened when I used my local boat yard Coates Marine Whitby.

Shocking , if not surprising nowadays. One to avoid for anyone in the area ( unless they were the ones causing the snow )

There's always 3 sides to every story!

I think part of the problem is in Whitby they're the only yard for small boats ie less than 50ft. They have the market so do as they please and charge what they want for lifting in and out.
I was honestly expecting them to try and charge me for storage when I picked it up today.

Dirks right, there is three side to every story, my side, the owners side and the technicians side, maybe the owner thought the tech was able to fix and he couldn't. When I dropped it off the tech said "I wouldn't bother with outboards older than 10 years old". If I had the chance I would have taken it else where then but I was travelling overseas the next day.
