Sidewinder is an A-A heat seeking missile.

Maybe a HARM (high speed anti-radiation) or the newer one I can't think of right now.

Rather drole all the same to imagine all the cock-sure knob heads with radar jammers getting smoked by hellfire missiles around the M25!

Yahh .. Ive seen most of those on seperate clips .. I still doubt a couple of the commercial ones but most of the others are pretty convincing , I say that because with some of the military ones, I have been on the ground as they have pulled some spectacular stunts over us in Wester Ross straight off a low flat run off the sea .. into the hillsides around us where they hit the beach then snake through a valley or two .. they dont even clear the hill tops sometimes , just go between them.. quite spectacular . I havent seen them do that quite so much lately perhaps the rules have changed , but it used to be a regular occurrence

I think that the commercial ones are done at air shows or trade shows and are genuine. You can see that there landing gear is not down.

Well I have felt the shock/blast on the ground ..infact my avatar is one of their favourite runs coming from the summer Isles .. and when they reach us they are on the climb, not very high above , I'd estimate about 200ft .. it always looks closer though .. but for a 2 tonne plane (i'm guessing) doing 800 - 1000 odd mph .. thats close enough
