Sometimes ... you just need to go back to a recipe that you know works .. in what ever walk of life that might be my friends .. and tonight .. an old favorite from tesco at £37 quid ... whilst the Ardbeg 10 next to it was £47 
Caol Ila used to give me nightmares when I drank it ... but Ive noticed after 24 years of marriage .... the dram is now fine 
Smoke, Peat, Brine, Bonfires .. its all there  lovely stuff

Coal ila gives me strange dreams too!! But I put up with because it's one of my favorite drams. Been to the distillery and was a bit disappointed as it was the most industrialised of all the distillerys on the island. Just working my way through a bottle of Jura origin. Had this in the cupboard for a year now and itching to open it. Not for the faint hearted as extremely peated!!
