Singleton surprised me when I first tried it .. cant remember which one (think it was just a twelve) .. It was one that I thought would just be 'another' speyside and avoided it usually .. but I was quite surprised how much flavour was in it ?... so I'm sure these special bottlings will have something nice to offer .. you'll just have to try them all to find out which one is best .. we will be expecting a report .. no flash descriptions required .. just tell what you got from it

And Yes Makro was where I bought that Yamazaki .. they always seem to keep it and Hibiki which is a Suntory blend.... in a very pretty bottle

edit .. I should add .. some of my favourites 'Are' speysides , such as an older Linkwood, or Mortlach

edit edit maybe next christmas https://www.thegreenwellystop.co.uk/...prod_3679.html

As YAMAZAKI is Yamaha and Kawasaki abbreviated and conjoined, do I take it that they also manufacture BOMBADIACS!

I agree you and as it happens HP is my favourite tipple but maybe I will crack open the G so when it's finished I have got something better to supp I agree with Billy though Glenfiddich isn't too bad on the palate and if I was on the Rusty Nails I certainly would not be using the HP

Happy new year to one and all. Brought in with the Laphroaig select. Also "yummy". to be a bit more descriptive it's like standard 10yo Laphroaig but a mellow "I'm not actually in a&e" take on the TCP side of the usual nose....

Smooth 52.6 % added drop of water and was smoother - I usually drink neet - a wee bit of peat but not much.

Was present from friend who knows I like from laphroiag

Well that's a bit interesting, in both a drinking and a marketing way. What's it like, compared to say, Bombay?

I always thought of gin in Hogarthian terms, but I'm prepared to be swayed.

Its not as 'odd ball' as I was expecting compared to its whisky neighbours' variance , that said , if you lined up 10 different Vodka's I'd struggle to tell the difference in any of them. Its certainly a very nice gin, but I would need to try it back to back with the other better known labels to spot the difference in taste, I was expecting an aromatic 'explosion' TBH which didn't happen.
