It's OK lads, as the owner of a new Landie he's covered by Land Rover Assistance, so don't let thoughts of blown turbos or delaminated intercooler hoses put you off going

Excellent idea. I'm bringing the 12-bore up at xmas so we could all go and practice at the Llanbedrog clay shooting ground near Abersoch.

Discovery intercooler de-lamination...

A bit off thread - but what are the symptoms of that?!?

We have now done 4,500 miles in the last 2 months in our new Discovery, and it seems to be suffering from a marked lack of power going up hills at about 70 mph (especially in the wet for some reason) - almost feels like my motorbike used to when it ran out of fuel!!

When the better half took the truck back to the dealer, they blamed a 'pipe' (she isn't very technical, bless her) which they cleaned, but are going to replace tomorrow.......Land Rover spares permitting.........

If it IS that, are we sucking up de-laminated material into the engine?!?

We've just about got enough to make a go of things, so it looks like it's going to happen!

From what I can see, this is the list as it stands:

John Kennett
Jonny Fuller
Rogue Wave
Cookee (?)
Jackeen & Missus
Ian
Ribald & Scurvey Crew
MeMe
Mstacey
Jahno
Phil Davies
Daniel
Louise
Richard B
David Manning (?)

It would be good to get a few more though -- Stu, is the Viking coming? Any other takers?

John

In that case, Jackeens, did you go shopping for sofa's? as there seems to be a large NWR contingent coming down. Clearly we are used to sleeping rough as it's hay we usually sleep on in our mud hut's.
Rogue 'Wave' Humper, you got any space in one of your containers for some of us?

Oh yeah, I dunno about Kev, but the thought of being shot at by Pete7's biro or keyboard isn't the scariest idea around

I think we'd better watch out if PeteB signs up though!

I'm not saying anything of the sort - am I dear- oh, I'm told I am.
Only joking, it's just easier on the water as I can leave her on the slip while we zip off to the pub. I don't think I'll get away with that one again, not with you lot around anyway.
