Takeaway food - opinions please

I'm sat here hungry, watching some food program on the tele. My girlfriend is away at the moment, so the fridge is empty. To make things worse Jimbo's away so I can't go and raid his fridge (unless I can remember where he keeps his spare key).

It got me thinking. I can order a kebab, a pizza, an Indian or a Chinese to get delivered, but that's it. The kebab I had last night has left me feeling funny all day so I'm steering clear of "foreign" food this evening. What I'd really like to do is order something delicious - basically a restaurant standard meal, but delivered to me on a moped in a shiny metal container. There is no-one out there that does this!!

Am I alone in my wishful thinking?

No, but I can cook most restaurant food in half the time it takes for takeaways to arrive.

According to a nameless source, I apparently don't buy food anymore, I buy 'ingredients'.

But you do have me feeling all sorry for you. Even sorrier that the Microwave Ready Meal (Asda Value) Donor Kebab that was in you freezer last time I was around appears to have been consumed.

1830, Sunday. No trainers. Food.

It actually doesn't taste of MSG if I get it from the local chippy. It's a rarity to find that.

Quick nip down the road 50 yards to my local, 2 pints as they cook the meal then either eat it there or they cover it in foil and you take it home, down side being you have to take the plate back the next day and two more pints
