57Knots of wind seen off Hurts Point Castle today- is there any higher today (force 11)

Wow, that is a big wind.

It has been up around 40kn all day here, I think Jersey are feeling the worst of it locally.

Dover Coastguard had a 61kn.

According to Jersey Airport we've only had around 25-28 knots, feels like more though

It's gusting at 40 kts down here (near Hastings). I'm driving down there in a minute to take a look - I love seeing the sea in anger!

Bramblemet BRAMBLEMET - Weather Reports from Bramble Bank appears to be down at the moment, but Chimet CHIMET - Weather Reports from Chichester Bar is reporting gusts of 43knots with a men of 35.2knots.

The wind is certainly rattling the window of my office here on the banks of langstone harbour.

61.4 knts gust through hurst at 09.50am ....that would be interesting in anything floating . I think its the highest I have seen through there.

Glad I am in an office job ( ish) today !
