Storms

Cowes took a battering last night, 5 boats sunk, a further 2 sinking and 2 more blown off their moorings and ended up ashore.

Never good to hear about others mis-fortunes. I know the worst went through over night, bt first thing this morning, I was checking the Poole Live weather display, which was recording gusts of over 50Kts.

That's a shame, hope the affected boats had adequate insurance.

Weather looks terrible at home, lucky we are soaking up the Sun in Tenerife at the moment, it's lovely here

Hired a little Valiant 4m today and took that for a blast. Didn't see any dolphins though

Apparently a British registered German owned cruiser that had been towed in last week by the lifeboat and is supposedly under the responsibility of the harbour office. Broke its mooring sometime earlier today.
