Check out the 2000 word 'buy my boat' saga.

The speed figures are fiction.

Would that be a 'my mate can fabricate stainless but has no clue about the stresses involved' console?

Or comfort, or aesthethics, or storage. Infact anthing other than a frame to hang a steering wheel on.

"we regularly beach hop with 8 people on board - still with space for comfort."

Presumably they are not all 14 stone

"
the closest thing you'll get to a floating Chieftain tank"

does that mean, ugly, heavy, slow, noisy and smelly!

"
An exceptionally rugged engine it has had new ignition coils and is in very good condition"

possibly means - the engine has an intermittent problem which we are tryign to fix by swapping components, we might have suceeded or you might get to continue the fun!

"
She has an engine kill switch on a lanyard (currently disconnected)"

There's a short somewhere in the kill circuit which rather than fix we've just bodged.

"
Purposefully she is not autolube or electric/battery start PTT etc as it just adds to weight and means that there is more to go wrong."

We saved money on these things but rather than just say that I'll pretent it was a plan.

"
trailer that was custom built for her with new axles, bearings, wheels, tyres and jockey wheel "

the trailer was cobbled together from random bits lying around

"
I have never had electrical equipment installed permanently on a boat as it is too much of a temptation for some of our light fingered brethren"

My crap console has nowhere to put electronics, and I've no battery for starting so couldn't be arsed fitting electronics, so use handhelds which bizarely I'm "throwing in" with the sale even though I'm planning to get a SIB.

That's a trick of the light-it's the right shaft length with a pinhead size cowling on. Needs a 50hp to look right

I notice he forgot to mention the pine(?) planks superbly nailed to the transom?
