click on smilies at the bottom of the post reply page it's in a box called posting rules

hannah if you go into your profile/settings you will see a setting to turn "wysiwyg" editor on - select this. Smileys are on a dropdown then.

I give up I can't seem to work out how to get the smileys to appear could you plesae help. Has it changed with the update website?

Burtox - I've checked your profile, you have the "basic" editor selected. Click this link: http://www.rib.net/forum/profile.php?do=editoptions then scroll to the bottom. The first option in the last box will say "Basic Editor - A simple text box" change this to "Enhanced Interface - Full WYSIWYG Editing".

[Note this will affect what happens on your PC - but not your iPhone]
