Hi folks

This Skype things looks good. One question though. If I call someone on their PC how do they know, does the PC ring?

Keith (this may be a very stupid question, but it won't be my first) Hart

Thanks chaps

We went Skype and now both our daughters and several of our friends and family have joined us. What a great system. I've even added it to our mail order website so customers can call for free to order items.

Cheers

Hi Brian

It's on my Black Artefacts (mail order) website, and it's: blackartefacts.

This SKYPE is such a good idea I'm waiting for Gordon Brown to tax it (as they do with everything else).

Skype!

Just discovered wonders of Skype as our oldest son is at an american university for 4 months(Illinois). Can't believe it's free and it's as though he's in the same room! This is too good to be true! It was either that or a 1 a minute on the mobile. No thanks!!

Skype Beta Videoconferencing

Living across the other side of the pond now, both I and my family are converts to Skype & use it to chat all the time. The latest beta version available for downloading supports video from your webcam and works very well. Highly recommended, but do tidy up that computer room before you broadcast your images to the world!

I use one of these http://www.actiontec.com/products/co..._usb/index.php

Best thing i ever bought - fully integrates skype into your existing home phone.

sits in between your landline socket, your pc and your phone or cordless base station.

you can call out via landline or skype or skype out.

any incomming skype calls ring your normal landline phone as would a normal call.

easy to set up and when you combine it with a cordless dect phone that has a built in speaker phone as well then you have the ideal setup

also your normal home answerphone will also answer incomming skype calls when your not in.
