Not done it for a few years but the following always used to be the case, check they have not changed them first as manufacturers do keep altering things.

The cover from a honeywell frost stat will fit over a honeywell room stat, this gives a woman-proof room stat.

The frost stat with the room stat cover can be fixed next to the above But not wired up , they can bugger about with this to there hearts content.

I put my wireless thermostat directly above the hall radiator,
she still hasn't worked out why she cant control the house temperature with the thermostat. If I am cold I just turn off the hall radiator

Not yet. I figured we were in the Bilges and if I hadn't been fired in 2014, it wasn't gonna happen today

Even my six inch nail hammered through the thermostat jamming it at 20 deg C didn't work or any other combination of dummy stats or lectures of reason. In the end I cancelled my standing order with BG and put it into STHTBO's name and her account number. She can twiddle it to her hearts content now and my blood pressure has dropped considerably knowing it's coming out of her account.

My new years resolution is to try and get the kids mobile phones bill onto the same account, as they too don't seem to get the logic of keeping to an inclusive tariff.

This goes along with 'testing' which way to turn the tap each time the kettle is filled... I don't think either of them has a universal solution.....

Is this also why we now have dual zone climate control in the cars?
Doesn't do away with the smell of melting flesh though does it?

....and leaving the landing lights on, or the back door open because "I'm only going to be a minute"...... half an hour later Don't get me started about standing with the fridge door open
