Irish SAR base docu-drama.

Viewing period ends in a couple of weeks, dunno if you can get this outside Irish ISP areas?

The Seaside bit is from Piranhaporth (Perranporth), which is opposite us on the north coast. It's bedlam over there in season.

I've just had time to watch this properly. I'd forgotten what the crew had told me (on my flight ) about the S-61. Even with her twin engines, she is effectively underpowered and can't maintain a hover and winch without a reasonable headwind. The rescue in the Comeraghs highlights this perfectly. The crews and CG are very excited about the new contract for S-92 in 2012 - WANT!

This week's programme has an interesting look at the RNLI capsize that was discussed on here previously.
