Sailing Yacht Trip - anyone want to crew?

I appreciate this is a ribbing forum, but I know some of you have been WAFI's, and some of you may fancy experiencing something a little different!

The Kenya Jacaranda is a 1923 Brixham trawler, run by a charitable trust, providing sailing for all - more information available at www.msts.uk.net .

She is looking for crew for a trip from Tilbury to Foy, Cornwall commencing 5th April next for about 10 days.

Basic sailing/powerboating experience is sufficient, and this will be a superb opportunity to build miles on a traditional working yacht. She is a fair old size, with bags of room, and I believe the intention is to motor full steam ahead for Foy. For anyone working towards Yachtmaster/Coastal Skipper, or just looking to experience something a bit different, this would be ideal.

I will probably be driving up to Tilbury for the start of the trip, so can give any takers a lift up from the South Coast in the Land Rover, and we are looking at getting a minibus to collect us the other end.

If you are interested please email me on james@daviescoaching.co.uk, or call 07733 224906.

Brixham Trawlers are fantastic old vessels. I sailed on Provident to the Channel Isles about 10 yrs back.

I have a mate who's doing his yacht masters at the moment who might need the hours, I'll ask if he's interested.
